Hallo dear friends!
You’ve all been on roller coasters before, right? You get on, you fasten your seat belt, and then you wait … you know it’s coming, but you don’t exactly know when. And then the next moment your head lashes back as you start to go at the speed of light; and of course your tummy feels like it has been left behind. Remember?
Well, I feel like I am on a roller coaster ride! One moment I am in South Africa; the next moment I am on a plane on my way to the States! And tomorrow morning I am flying to the Dominican Republic to lead a mission trip for 29 college students. Wow! The Lord is good. I feel like I am part of a big adventure and everything is happening so fast!
But the Lord kicked a few doors open for me to be here! We got our American visas in a record time and we got our passports back quicker than what we thought it would take. I got a ticket on a flight for the next day to the States and I was holding my Dominican Republic visa in my hand after just 13 days (and originally they said it would take me 5 weeks!!)
I don’t want to sound arrogant when I am telling you all of this. I am humbled by God’s goodness and faithfulness and I am amazed at what He has done! And through it all I’ve experienced God, and I am still experiencing Him, asking me if I will trust Him at a new level.
So yes, tomorrow morning my friend, Carol, and I will be on our way to the Dominican Republic. And I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for us! I want to trust Him!
Please pray for us while we are there. We will return January 30th. After returning to the States I will stay another 2 weeks and spend some time with friends and time at the AIM office before flying back to South Africa and my loving husband on February 15th. Please pray for Jumbo and me while we are so far apart. It is not easy for us.
