With the smell of oranges in my car and dust in my nose, I was driving to deliver oranges at some of the care points last week. What a privilege!
At my favorite care point we handed the oranges out and my favorite boy came up to me, asking me to peel his orange. Okay, so I hate peeling oranges, because I hate getting all sticky because of the juice (and these guys were juicy!), but I couldn’t say no to this little boy. I peeled his orange and watch him eating (and enjoying) his orange. After I peeled his, 2 of the sweetest little girls (twins) also came to me wanting me to peel their oranges. Without hesitance I did it for them. It gave me such delight!
After my favorite boy was done eating, he wanted me to pick him up … of course. And yet again, I couldn’t say no! How can I not pick him up? So with his sticky hands I picked him up! (Hey, there is nothing soap and water cannot clean.)
So for all of you who are coming to Swaziland in the next two months, be prepared to peel lots of oranges and get sticky!
We love you guys and can’t wait to see you in July!
This is the right kind of agent orange.
I miss you,
Ron
