Birthdays!
Just a quick update of what we are doing: We are in the middle of birthday parties for 8 of our care points. We have done 4 and we have 4 left. It has been a lot of fun!
At each care point we are celebrating the birthdays of all the children throughout the whole year. We have a jumping castle, balloons, face paint, a gift for each child, lots of candy (sweets), a cake with candles (which the children blow out) and cup cakes. It is awesome to see the amazement and excitement on the children’s faces when they see the jumping castle and when they receive their gifts.
We start each party with Scripture and we tell the children that they are special to us, to the ladies who cook for them and to the Lord. We also tell them that they are loved by the Almighty God. And then we pray for them. It is our heart’s desires that these children will know God’s love and that it will change the ways they think and live.
We are also giving gifts (and candy!) to the ladies cooking at the care points and they enjoy the parties just as much as the children. Some of them were even brave enough to jump on the jumping castle!
