Something exciting

Something exciting is happening this weekend! We are having our first organized camp for the children! (Our previous camps were organized too, but it was still a lot of chaos with as many kids as possible spending the night at one of the care points and having fun.) This weekend it is different. It will be like a real camp with a program and theme and there will be a smaller amount of children. We are rewarding the children that have been faithfully attending the lessons of the discipleship team, but also motivating them and other to keep coming.

Who and what is the discipleship tteam? It is a team of Swazi Christian young people who are really committed in their walk with God. They visit the care points daily (they have a set day of the week for each care point) and do Bible lessons with the children. Through the lessons and through spending time with the children they are discipling the children. Swazi’s discipling Swazi’s! It is amazing to see the impact they are making in the lives of the children. We are so thankful to God for this team and we are so thankful towards these Swazi young people going against their culture and obeying God’s call in their lives.

They say they want to have as much fun as possible with the children this weekend and they really want the children to enjoy it. “First we want the children to see that we can have fun with God and later during the weekend we will show them how to get serious with God.”

So please pray with us that the weekend will be life changing to these children.

  2. You said “Swazis discipling Swazis.”
You share our hearts 100%. We help, teach encourage Tswanas, the end of the day, for the work to continue – it is so necessary for the discipling to come from their own culture. God bless you for all the seed you are sowing, we know the Lord will have a great harvest.
