Roof Update and a Thank You!

Thank you for your response on our previous blog about praying for us. We hope we got all of you on the list and we are excited to have you praying for us in more specific ways! A HUGE thank you for the overwhelming response on the house at Bheveni. We are pleased to report that because of your gifts, this family now has a roof over their heads at night.  The house is finished and the family can now sleep better knowing they don’t have to worry about the weather or anything getting to them while they sleep.  Most of all, they have experienced and seen God’s love for them and they have seen it through your gifts, prayers, and commitment.

The two boys, who are currently not in school, and their father, were there everyday helping the builder however they could. (This actually helped bring down the cost of construction; the builder agreed to use them and not hire some extra helpers.)  The family has been busy “landscaping” around their new home by cleaning away debris and trash from construction.  They have even been using broken pieces of blocks to make a yard perimeter.

After the house was done and ready to be moved in, the D-team visited the family and took them some donated blankets. The house was still standing empty and when asked by the D-team why they haven’t moved in yet, the family said they were waiting for us to tell them to move in! Well, it was with much joy that the D-team told them to move right in! This family has been blown away by your generosity and compassion and by the fact that people, whom they have never met, will do something like this for them.  The family seems to have a new perspective and a greater joy! Their lives have been touched and we can only thank you with a deep appreciation!
